I THINK I'LL GIVE IT A TRY

My name is Arthur C. Fingerle Jr. I live in Elk Grove, California, just South of Sacramento. I have been working on my family genealogy, and having a great time. I got a phone book program for my computer and checked for all the Fingerle’s listed in phone book through out the United States. I found about 70 Fingerle’s. I am putting out this first newsletter to say Hello and see just how many Fingerle’s there are out there. I am putting a list of the Fingerle’s I have and hope to get more and corrections on the address’s I have. All the address and phone numbers in the list can be found in phone books.

If your address and phone number is in it, is it correct, or if you don’t want you name, address, or phone number given out please let me know and I will remove them if you want. If you know of any Fingerle’s that are not on the list and you think they might want to get the newsletter just send me a letter with their Name, address, and phone number I will add them to the list.

I am a 45 year old Firefighter working for the American River Fire District in Sacramento County. My wife Rachel is a Horse Trainer on our ranch in Elk Grove. We raise and train Quarter Horses. I am also an Amateur Radio Operator WA6UZR is my call. My father is a Physician in Thousand Oaks, California. My grandfather was Friederich Emil Fingerle, both were born in Esslingen, Germany and came to the United States in about 1929. My grandfather was born Nov. 20, 1894 and passed away June 24th 1990 at the age of 95, and that is when I thought it would be good to get the family history down.

I have contacted several people with lots of Fingerle history. One was Peggy Wilson from Midland, TX. She even had old photo’s of my grandfather and many other relatives. The Mormon Genealogy Library in Sacramento had lots of good info. My Uncle’s also had lots of old photographs. Now I have to put labels on all the photo’s. I will be trying to get a newsletter out three to four time a year. Again if you want the newsletter but don’t want your address and or phone number on the published list, let me know. I will try to get the newsletter out at my own expense.

If you have any interesting items for the newsletter please send them to my and I will try to get them into future newsletters. Please feel free to let me know what you think about the newsletter. I there is no interest I may not continue, but I have seen several other family newsletter and thought it would be fun.
